... the second one is "Sechs Krähen" by Leo Lionni, published in German by Beltz & Gelberg. The American edition "Six Crows" was first published by Alfred A. Knopf in 1988.
Just read about Leo Lionni, who was born in Holland, that he had been very successful in advertising in the United States, before he returned to Italy in the 1960s. There he began to work as a children's book author and illustrator - using a variety of collage techniques. He is the father of very famous "Frederick" and "Swimmy" and of course many more children's books: here.

Leo Lionni is such a great artist! We read his books at home with our son. He is 7 & likes Lionnis books too.:)
ReplyDeleteThese are really timeless books and for all ages. I know them from my childhood and my 4-year-old now loves them as well :)
