Marion Deuchars

Hello everyone! This is going to be a long post about another London-based creative. Long as well is the list of major clients illustrator Marion Deuchars has worked for. She designed covers for Penguin Books ...

.... and illustrated a cookbook by Jamie Oliver (see below). Her work includes commissions for The Guardian and New York Magazine as well as advertising campaigns for big car brands and Formula 1 etc.

Her last book project together with Laurence King Publishing calls "Let's Make some Great Art", an interactive book for artists of all ages: "This book is packed with stimulating ideas to spark your creative imagination. You can complete the Mona Lisa's smile, or design your own Jackson Pollock-inspired work with a marble, a tray, some paint and paper. There are step-by-step instructions for how to draw a bird and how to give it an expression, as well a foolproof method for drawing a bicycle."

Now two more titles will be available in bookstores (August/September):

(Marion Deuchars: Let's Make some Great Fingerprint Art, Laurence King Publishing, 2012)

For more fingerprint art: Ed Emberly makes us happy as well!

Finally a few snapshots of one of my favourite cookbooks: It's "Jamie's Dinner. The Essential Cookbook", originally published by Penguin Books. The German edition has been published by Dorling Kindersley in 2005. Each chapter and the endpapers are beautifully illustrated by Marion Deuchars.
