Small ones

Hello everyone, hope you all enjoy a nice weekend! I'm back with some fine little books. The first one is really funny and has a funny title as well: Piepel, Popel und Piepel-Popel. The 70s book series called "Kinder malen für Kinder" (Children draw for children). The illustrator was nine years old when he drew this little treasure.

(Dietmar/Piter Miles: Piepel, Popel und Piepel-Popel, Verlag Ernst Chur 1972)

Far better known: Pixi-Bücher (Pixi Books), 10 x 10 cm, 24 pages, first published in 1954 by Illustrationsforlaget/Carlsen. They are as popular as ever here in Germany. I really loved the ones below as a child. And also collectors love Pixis - there are some big fans out there:

(Constant, A. M.: Der kleine Junge und die Farben, Carlsen Verlag 1975)

One more from the 70s, published by Delphin Verlag, showing short stories with the ingenious "Maus" from German TV series "Die Sendung mit der Maus". If you want to see the mouse in action, click here.
