In 2012 this book has been republished by Beltz & Gelberg. You can order the reprint of the first edition (1958) in its original format here or here. It's illustrated by German illustrator and artist Frans Haacken (1911-1979).

I must wholeheartedly recommend you get a copy of Suzie Templeton's animated Peter and the WOlf (on DVD) - it's stunning (though the story doesn't exactly follow the traditional version). I've also done a round up of other versions of Peter and the Wolf here: http://www.playingbythebook.net/2010/03/18/peter-and-the-wolf/. I might just have to order a copy of this with the illustrations by Frans Haacken!
