Joelle Jolivet and Fani Marceau: Bei Tag und bei Nacht

I wanted this book for quite a long time. You might know it? "Vues d'ici" by Joelle Jolivet and Fani Marceau has been originally published in 2007 by naive. To purchase it in English ("Panorama. A Foldout Book") click here, the German edition is called "Bei Tag und bei Nacht" and has been published by Knesebeck in 2010. I wrote about Joelle Jolivet's penguins books before here. I love her lino-cutting work.

Spread on the ground the fanfolded book is over 4 metres long! On the one side you can travel around the world by day (black on white) and on the other side at night (white on black). Joelle Jolivet and Fani Marceau created together "Zoo-logique" (Seuil Jeunesse) as well and take a look at their latest cooperation: "Dans le livre" published last year by hélium.

I had to found out who created this book cover by French publisher Helium. It's London-based illustrator Ping Zhu. Visit her website and blog!

Iela Mari: El erizo de mar

As you might remember I was lucky to find another one by Iela Mari recently. It's the Spanish edition of "Il riccio di mare" which has been published in Italy in 1983. So simple and clever.
